Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas is also a good option for the Americans, who are stacked in the goaltending category. Other notables to look out for on team USA are Phil Kessel, Jamie Langenbrunner and Paul Stastny . With all this firepower it's easy to see why Team USA has a good chance of upsetting the Canadian Team in Vancouver.

Team Canada is not taking this game lightly either. With their disappointing performance in the last Olympic winter games in Turin, the Canadians are trying to make up for that loss with a gold medal in Men's ice hockey in Vancouver. Team Canada will not be easy to beat. Their skill level is uncomparable in this tournament with the exception of perhaps the Russian team.
Defensively, Team Canada is solid and will make it difficult for Team USA to score. Scott Niedermayer, 36 (Anaheim Ducks), Chris Pronger, 35 (Philadelphia Flyers) and Shea Weber, 24 (Nashville Predators) are some of the best in the business. The Canadian team is heavy on offence with the likes of Sidney Crosby, 21 Pittsburgh Penguins), Rick Nash, 25 (Columbus Blue Jackets) , Jarome Iginla, 32 (Calgary Flames) , Mike Richards, 25 (Philadelphia Flyers) , Joe Thornton, 30 (San Jose Sharks), Patrick Marleau, 30 (San Jose Sharks) and Ryan Getzlaf, 24 (Anaheim Ducks) to name a few. This team is hard to play against and the American team will have to eat their Wheaties if they plan on having a chance of winning this game and/or tournament.

Did the Russian hockey team sell out to bookies and the mafia in its loss to Canada?
It makes no sense for such a talented Russian team to lose by so much to a bloated and dismotivated group of players such as Canada. Ovechkin's dialled-in performance is telling me something is very fishy. Is there any buzz out there on this?
Canada is the most motivated team in the tournament. Interest in the team is incredible. Give Canada some credit -- these guys played really well.
Don't look for conspiracies when the simple answer is usually the best.
